Ward Rounds Continue

Added to site: Oct 05
Life here continues on ward round in the mornings. Then outpatients to see, new admissions to assess and treat, old medicines to scavenge, tickets to change and still reading up on non-Hodgkin myeloma at present.

Yesterdays village clinic included an I & D (Incision and Drainage) of an abscess on the arm of an 8yr old boy, done under Keatmine analgesia. There were 50 patients seen at least.

Today, another 50+ patients seen also. Joy (NZ volunteer nurse) has been teaching healthy lifting techniques in rural village clinics where many lift heavy loads and suffer from low back pain.
